The One Show

I started at The One Show directly after my BBC Apprenticeship in 2012, working my way up from a runner to Junior Art Director, a role that was created for me after my development of the show’s art department

There isn’t a workplace quite like The One Show, every day is different and the challenges you face to consistently deliver for a live magazine show are some of the most valuable lessons i’ve learnt in television. Highlights included making the sets for the Jubilee and Coronation Festival specials live from Buckingham Palace’ gardens, building the television centre table for the last live show from the legendary TVC and being art director for the Weston-super-Mare summer festival OB

It was also at The One Show where I started cooking for on screen items. From Staffordshire oatcakes for Cilla Black, salmagundi for David Coulthard or mock turtle soup for Jay Rayner, TOS gave me the opportunity to use my culinary skills and set a precedent for my future foodie projects
